That's Not Cool

Nonprofit Website & Content Strategy

A serious issue, in teens’ own language

Futures Without Violence wanted to help teens recognize and respond to harmful behavior in their digital relationships. Its existing website no longer reflected how teens used the internet or talked about these issues. Raft led a redesign grounded in research with young people. The new site replaced its earlier character-led approach with a more direct visual voice, shareable data about teen relationships, and Ambassador Stories where visitors could contribute videos, photos, and writing. The result gave teens credible information and a way to take part in the conversation.

The program needed to address online bullying and unhealthy relationships without talking down to the young people it hoped to reach.

A redesigned site paired visual, shareable research with stories created by teens themselves. Its content and design made the issue easier to understand, discuss, and share.
